About the Presenters

Danica MacRae, MSN, RN, CHSE

Danica has been a nurse for over ten years and is currently the Simulation Coordinator for the Professional Nursing Department, Eastview Campus at Austin Community College. Danica received her Baccalaureate degree in nursing from the University of Texas, Arlington, and her Masters of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

Sami Rahman, MSN, RN

Sami is the Director of Simulation and Clinical Labs at Blinn College Health Science Center in Bryan, Texas. She has been at Blinn College since 2006, and a Registered Nurse for 35 years, having a variety of experiences including Pediatric Nursing (primarily Pediatric Oncology), Intensive Care Nursing, Camp Nursing, School Nursing, Teaching (High School and College), and Home Health Care. She is a 2018 Clinical Educator Awardee through NISOD and received recognition in 2008 as an Outstanding Faculty Member at Blinn College. She participated in the initial development and expansion of simulation integration into the curriculum at Blinn College, Health Science Programs. She has worked in collaboration and development for multiple simulations for student learning across the division, including the capstone for their First Semester novice nursing students and the integration of Simulated Patients. As a member of OADN since 2008, she has presented posters and educational sessions for the National Conference annually. She has also served on the OADN Education Conference Planning Committee since 2012 and now serves on the OADN Sim Task Force since 2020.

Rhonda Lance, MSN, RN

Rhonda has been a faculty member at Blinn College since Fall 2016, She has been a nurse for 32 years with a background mainly in pediatrics—both in patient and as a school nurse. She is a new member to the OADN Simulation Task Force.
